'Lucky' The Sick Hedgehog

Post  Hoggy on Sat Nov 01, 2008 12:59 pm

Lucky is a new one we got a month ago now. He was a late baby and was found wondering in the Day light, in the gutter. He was covered in fly eggs. Being so small and so weak, we thought he would die, in fact- we were certain. He had not even been weaned. Despite out worry that he would die, we cleaned him up and fed him etc. We were amazed that he made it! I can now safely say that he will survive, and I will release him after Winter. I just can't beleive he is still alive!

Dave.

What an apt name!!

He certainly is lucky, many in that condition wouldn't have pulled through - He was Lucky the day you found him. Bravo

That is very good to hear! I'm glad she is doing well. You have to watch out with the old ones, they are always a lot weaker. Bu still! She sounds as though she has got a while yet.
